Frequently asked questions

What is resin-bound surfacing?
Resin-bound surfacing is made by thoroughly mixing natural aggregate with a UV-stable clear resin, then trowelling it onto a prepared base to form a smooth, seamless, fully permeable surface. Because it is porous it drains freely and is SUDS-compliant, which typically removes the need for separate drainage and satisfies planning requirements for driveways.
How long does resin-bound surfacing last?
A correctly installed resin-bound surface typically lasts 15–25 years. Longevity depends almost entirely on the quality of the sub-base preparation and the skill of installation, which is where 30+ years of specialist experience earns its keep.
How much does a resin driveway cost?
As a rough guide, a medium-sized resin-bound driveway costs around £6,000, or roughly £50–£120 per m². The range is wide because the size, the condition of the existing base, access and your choice of aggregate all change the figure. Do you work on domestic and commercial projects?
Yes. We work across high-end domestic, retail and commercial markets, from private driveways and garden terraces to car parks, walkways and commercial resin surfacing for estates, schools and sporting venues across Essex, Kent and London.
Can you match a specific colour or finish?
Yes. Our systems offer a wide selection of standard colours and can custom-match blends to RAL, NCS and many popular paint palettes, helping you achieve the exact look and finish you are after, whether that's a natural aggregate mix or a specific branded colour.
Is resin-bound surfacing high maintenance?
No. That is one of its key advantages. Unlike block paving or gravel there are no joints to re-sand, no weeds to pull, and no shifting or settling over time. An occasional wash with a hosepipe or pressure washer is all that's needed to keep it looking new.
Are you insured, and do you offer guarantees?
