From elite sporting grounds to Essex driveways

Paul has spent more than three decades in the trade, and a good part of that career on some of the country's most closely inspected grounds, including the training ground of a top-tier sports franchise. On those jobs the work is checked to a standard most domestic contractors never meet, and nothing that fails early gets signed off.

That background decides how we build now. Driveways and patios fail from underneath, not on top, so Paul plans every project from the sub-base up: excavation depth, drainage falls and compaction are settled before any surface goes down. It makes our quotes more thorough than most, and it is why our surfaces still sit flat and drain properly years after we leave.

Today PL Taylor Landscaping is based in Chadwell St Mary, Thurrock, working across Essex, Kent and London on resin-bound driveways, garden design and landscaping, paving and patios and commercial grounds. Paul quotes each job himself and stays involved through the build, so the person who priced your driveway is the same one standing on it while it is laid.
